This was not the case, but the absence of a status bar of any sort, made me press cancel at one point, and I then got a message to the effect that the installation was still taking place. The installation went fine, but at one point (both times that I installed it) the installation looked like it had stopped or stalled. I ordered the CD version of Dragon Naturally Speaking version 15, and – because my system went down at one point (nothing to do with Dragon) – I ended up installing it twice over the course of a month or so. I am glad, though, that I bought this from Amazon, because my 2 previous experiences of dealing with Nuance, the makers of Dragon Naturally Speaking, were annoying, as has been the case for many people other than myself.ġ.

Having said the above, I still think that the software is overpriced. I find this version of Dragon Naturally Speaking makes fewer mistakes than the other versions I had, and is significantly better in that it does not interpret my breathing into the microphone as words of some sort. The so-called dictation options in Windows and Google were a joke when I last tried each of them about 8 or 9 months ago. The only reason I bought the program is that there are no real competitors. This is the 3rd version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking that I have used in the last 6 years or so, and I have to say that it works very well, which actually surprises me.
